Has there been a style of architecture as popularly disliked as 60/70s Brutalism?

that has become loved by later generations or is Brutalism as a style not worth saving?

  1. I've actually always had a sort of inexplicable fondness for it. Perhaps because in my youth the buildings were new and stood in stark contrast to much of what surrounded them. I think the style itself may be worth saving but unfortunately a lot of the buildings were institutional type things and apparently were built on a low-bid basis so many of the actual structures probably aren't worth what it would cost to properly renovate and conserve them. Also, even a mild defender of the form, such as myself, is forced to admit that some of them are just butt-ugly.
