  1. I don't think they have ever been legal tender but the bank of england uses them internally.


  2. apparently banks have internal notes of this value, but it isnt legal tender or publicly available,

  3. Can't speak to Britain, but pretty sure the largest official dollar denomination is the $100,000 note (which itself was mainly limited in use to transfers between banks.)

  7. There was a film a while back about an American trying to spend a million dollar note. Supposedly good comedy but it was anything but funny.
