  1. ppl that dont kno a d**n thing about boxing can name ALI, so id say him

  2. The closest in my opinion was Oscar De La Hoya. In his prime, he was impressive and won many big fights.

This lead to huge endorsements and a "golden touch" that seemed to make money no matter what he touched. His face was everywhere.

At the end of it all, he came back again to achieve spotty success but through it, he still made a ton of money.

  3. no way their was ever a boxer that rained over boxing the way jordan did in b ball the boxer would have to be dominite and destroying opponents for 15 years strait most boxers are only in their prime for like 5-8 years boxing needs an mj it would revive the sport

  4. my boy mike tyson speed power agility u name he had it in his prime

  5. yes floyd mayweather matches everything above

  6. Yes, his name is Manny "Pac-Man" Pacquiao. He does all of the above.

  7. nope but theres been the Ali of basketball. mj is nothing compared to Ali he wasnt friendly to fans and was kind of a prck

  8. Muhammad Ali

    56 wins (37 by KO) - 5 Loses - 0 Draw

    Career Span 1960-1981

Won Olympic gold metal for USA at light heavyweight in 1960

Defetead olympic Gold metalists like Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Leon Spinks.

First 3 time Heavyweight Champion by beating Sonny Liston, George Foreman, and Leon Spinks.

He's in mostly every boxing video game

There was a movie about his life even though he's still alive

Has been in many talk shows during the 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's

Has been getting everyones attention by making public speeches to huge crowds and being on the news and media.

Almost every boxing gym has some sort of picture of him

  9. oscar de la hoya

  10. DeLaHoya like it or not is the Jordan of boxing. He has ressurected boxing in this age.

  11. As far as a popluarity, skill, ability, promotiablility, accomplishment and legacy it would be two fighters but you have to understand that boxing and basketball are so different when it comes to status and judgement because one is ruled by a association and the other is ruled by promoters and countless organizations that can help or hurt a fighter. Also in basketball there is a measurement stats, playoffs that you have during a season

Endoresements are are because boxing is not as high as it use to be. you won't see any heavyweight champ on the cover of wheaties for a while and it is hard for a boxer to sell anything non-boxing related

either Ali or Tyson and here is what they had in common with MJ

Ali-clothing line, legacy, excitement, marketable, skills were before their time achived wins when many thought that they had no chance of winning, world reknowned

Tyson-huge sells on anything their name was on, had enbelieveable physical skill jordan (jumping, speedxpower)

    not in common

Ali-spoke what he felt and was at his time conroversial

Tyson-Never could achieve ultimat greatness and became a train wreck

  12. Well I would say Oscar. and who ever says Pac man dont know boxing. Jordan owns his own companies just as delahoya. jordan signed a 30 million dollar contract for one season the highest yet by a nba player. pac man has never made more than 5 million in a fight. jordan carried the league and his team for a long time. pacman is a huge icon but he doesnt carry boxing. when you thought of basketball you thought MJ micheal jordan. you have many ball players that or much more fearfull  like shaq in his prime and mike tyson in his prime. but the key factor is could they generate the ticket sales and the sale out crowds and championships like jordan. NO!!!!. Delahoya can sale out crowds and have strong pay per view numbers and is a talented former champion who can easily win another belt. Mayweather is considered more like a kobe, shaq, lebron james. they or all good well paid atheletes who generate sales and hold the league.  Mayweather actually took the world by storm and took the world of sports to a new level. mayweather generated large numbers threw his urban fan base. This also pulled in more critics as  fans who hate the urban way of life who simply want to watch mayweater make a full out of himself. mayweather is the first athelete in any sport to create his own fan base outside of the old traditional fans of a sport. If he would stick around a little longer he would be able to generate as much as delahoya and become the micheal of boxing. but he said hes been in the sport for a long time. which is c**p because jordan invested much more time on the road and practicing in half of his career then in mayweathers whole life..

  13. I would have to say De La Hoya.

  14. Here are a few names. SUGAR RAY ROBINSON In his time he was the 1st Real Jordan in the boxing world then you have ALI. He was the biggest

star in boxing ever there will never be any one who can touch him but i don't think he was the best ever but as a Super  Star yes by far.

Then ray Lenard in the 80s the 1st pound 4 pound boxer as that's when pound 4 pound started...Then Floyd as every one knows him big money maker..  Tyson as he made money big money..Roy Jones as skill he might be as close as your going to get to Jordan on skill but not big name only boxing fans know him.

Manny not cut from the same cloth but he is good but Jordan class NO WAY..

    Sanchez?

    Oscar the golden boy ?

    Chavez?

Mexicans     YES these are there champs.
