  1. There are lots of good KO punches. Julian Jacksons punch that knocked Herol Graham spark out is up there with the top ones IMO.

  2. marciano on jersey joe walcott

  3. corrales was awsome  tito and naz were great too

  4. hundreds more just check this one out, greatest boxer ever>>  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHRskUNax...

  5. definately, most of prince naseem hameds fights had superb knock out punches, shame he let himself go.

  6. How about December 2 1985. To refresh your memory. It was a unification bout between WBC Champ Milton MCcrory and WBA Champ Donald Curry. With one awesome right hand in the second round Curry unified the welterweight title and MCcrory lay sleeping on the canvas.

  7. That shot Hearns landed on Duran is the hardest punch ever landed.  When you consider that Duran is an all time great, and one of the most durable and rugged fighters ever, it elevates what Thomas Hearns accomplished.  It's one thing to starch a glass jaw like Ingemar Johannson or soft fighter like Zab Judah or Herol Graham.  It's a whole heck of a lot different to starch a guy like Duran.

Keep in mind that both Leonard and Hagler pounded on Duran for a grand total of 49 rounds and never staggered him, let alone score a knockdown or knock out.

  8. duran would say no,it was definately a on the money punch.if there were any better ones hearns probably threw some of them.

  9. Whatever your views on boxing are, I do like to see a great knock out, there's no quibbling then who's won.

I hate fights that go the distance where both fighters still seem quite fresh.

This link is of a top ten KOs, my favourite has always been the one thrown by Floyd Paterson when he regained his title from Ingemar Johanson, I remember the fight well, it came only second this time.

  10. My first 2 choices are pretty obvious:

Marciano KO13 over Walcott - It was such a beautiful short right hand

Robinson KO5 over Fulmer - Ray just pulled that left hook out of nowhere and BOOM Fulmer is out.

Here are some others that I like

Bob Foster KO over Mike Quarry - a frightening left hook that left Quarry in a heap

Wilfred Benetiz over Maurice Hope - Benetiz not known as a KO puncher sure brought the thunder here.

Foreman KO over Michael Moorer - short, sweet, and to the point

And I do agree, that right by Tommy Hearns that sent Duran into lala land was a beauty!!!

  11. tzyu on judah, phanthom punch by ali
