Has there ever been a black female swimmer at the olympics?

  1. No, they're better at power and intimidating sports like athletics and taekwando.


  2. she was from france and she was(and still is) 12 years old. she competed at the bejing olympics. but in skin color she's black( she looks like she's african american)

  3. I saw that. Usually in the heat race. However, their result always not fast enough to enter the semi - final.

  4. There were lots of black female (and male) swimmers competing at the Olympics, its just that no one saw them. What happens is that the heats are seeded, so the slowest swimmers go in the first heats, and the fastest swimmers go in the last heats. Only the faster heats were ever shown on tv but if you saw the slower heats of some events (particularly 50m and 100m freestyle) they were mostly black swimmers from really obscure countries, some of whom looked like they could barely reach the end of the pool. I saw one of these heats on tv, but it was shown purely for comedic value :)
