  1. The states that entered the US after the Constitution had been ratified did not ratify the Constitution as it had previously been ratified.  


  2. I dont think so, but there was one state in US history that used to be its own country......Texas

  3. I think that Rhode Island was a state by that time--it didn't send any delegates to the Constitutional Convention, and resisted ratification, but finally was forced to join the others.

  4. Only the 13 original colonies ratified the US constitution. Only 9 of 13 were required for the constitution to be ratified, but eventually all 13 original colonies ended up ratifying the constitution.
