  1. I am sure there have been. Autism is a newer up and coming things. There are millions of adults out there living with it that never knew what they had. Autism can also be so minor you new might know there is anything wrong

  2. As a lot of people with an autistic spectrum disorder especially the high functioning people are never diagnosed I am sure there are more than a few people in the military who have an ASD. Usually people who have high functioning autism love routine and the security it brings so are probably well suited to a career in the military.

  3. um no u have to pass certain expectations

  4. I am going to bet there has been!  There have been autistic individuals who have a PhD, there are autistics that are inventors, Psychologists, and there are autistics who have graduated as the Valedictorian of their graduating class from a regular education class.  People with autism are not stupid, and many of them lead very  normal lives.

  5. It is against US military regulations, but there has in fact been cases of autistics in the army.  There was controversy over  individuals recruited into the army despite being autistic just recently in the Iraq war.  There are no known cases of autistic personnel among the air force.  However, Autism wasn't diagnosed until the latter half of the 20th century.  Even today people don't full understand autism.

  6. I am sure there've been a lot of officers and such with different levels of something like Asperger's Syndrome.  So, yeah, in a way.
