Has there ever been any short models?

Im on the short side, but i really want to model. I was wondering if there has ever been a succesful short model.

  1. Depends on what you mean by short.  By modeling standards, Kate Moss was always considered "short" but she was still about 5'7" I think.

    There's something called petite modeling, but I still think they are generally no shorter than 5'5" Modeling is tall woman's business.  

    There are short models, just not famous ones.  Look int print and commercial modeling, they have less strict height restrictions than runway, but there is still an overall preference for girls on the taller side.


  2. Yeah, petite models. They model clothes for smaller women for like Kohls' petites section.

    Commercial and print agencies might also accept shorter models, because usually they just focus on the face or a portion of the body.

  4. Of course there has!  One of the most famous of them being Twiggy!  She was only 5'6".  Kate Moss is also considered short, being 5'7".  Those are actually probably the only two very famous ones...
