Don't know about Irish racing, but in Britain it has happened at least twice in my 'betting' lifetime; I used to follow favourites with a suicidial loss chasing staking plan and lost big time; twice - it was after that my betting took on a more professional approach.

Do you have a system in mind for favourites?

Blimey whos gonna know this little gem. Was a bookie for a few years cant recall specifically, but then would I have remembered if it did happen. (Perhaps cos of the cash made)
