  1. No way is this possible, so this is a non starter proposition!!

  2. It was discussed at one time but the TITANIC needs to rest where she is. It's serves as somewhat of a memorial for all the souls that were lost.

  3. Of coarse there was. However, as mentioned...it is considered a final resting place. It is also very fragile and deep.

  4. yes. too expensive and too deep talks against it depth is 12460 feet and its spreaded across a ocean floor across 2000 feet

  5. Why?

  6. There was talk about trying to raise her, but since they have discovered that she lies in 2 main pieces, it would be impossible. Also she is slowly collapsing in on herself now,and will probably be gone in 10 to 20 yrs time. She is too fragile to even think of moving her.

The Titanic is a grave site and should remain exactly where she is laying, let them all rest in peace.

  7. Its in 2 main pieces, it broke its back and both halves seperated. they will need a lot of waterproof putty and a very long reel of sellotape !

"No" is the answer ( assuming you mean has there ever been any serious talk about it )

  8. I thought they were going to but I gathered they decided to leave it down as so many passengers died on the ship and went down with it, it was more of a grave yard now. Don't think they wanted to upset the relatives off those that had died on the Titanic xx might be wrong but that's what I heard xx

  9. I think it was on discover channel documentory that said they would not bring it up but would try to remove some artifacts from it.

  10. It would be difficult. My brother had that problem once, he once dropped his toy boat in the bath and when it collided with the rubber duck, it sank to the bottom and got caught in this giant plughole. A plumber might have done the job for him but I doubt a plumber could surface the old Titanic.

  11. Because its been down so long it would fall apart if tried, so it wont ever be- infact its unlikely to be a shape at all in the next 50years apparently

  12. no..its considerd a grave..it would be like digging up a  grave in your local gravesite...some talk..but it will not happen

  13. Just talk. I think it will remain a memorial to the dead.

  14. it would be like trying to retrieve an Oreo cookie that has been left in the milk for 5 minutes.

  15. None serious. If interested, look for the book  "RAISE THE TITANIC":

    Or the movie:
