  1. K40 means life begins at forty. So I don't see why 43rd or more can not win the race.

  2. its very possible that could happen ,your second question once in his career #24 started on  the pole and finished dead last.......go #24, 2008 champion   (keep trying #88)

  3. I believe the last time it happened in [Nextel] Cup was the 2006 Dickies 500 when Tony Stewart started 43rd and dominated the second half of the race.

  4. Yes to both parts of your question. Can't recall the specifics, but both have occurred before

  5. It has happened plenty of times.  It usually happens when a strong car has to go to back up or changes engine.  Starting position means almost nothing in Nascar.  I hate the stats that try to put importance on starting position.  The strong cars typically qualify fairly well.  Kyle Busch could have started 55th last night and he would have still won.

  6. I'm not sure.

  7. yes plenty  of times and people had one the pole and finished dead last  like Greg Biffle because he had engire problems

  8. Clint Bowyer last week at Richmond

  9. It's possible for someone to start in the rear and win.  not sure if and when it happened
