Does the reason our adulthood feel like it goes by faster than our childhood is because of the rate of our cells replication is slower?

No, the most likely reason that our adult years seem to go by faster is due to the fact that we have more time to look back on and the accumulation of past experience dimishes the percieved length of time to come. Basically, when we are young we are more likely to feel that 5 days is a long way away because are brains are still trying to process and establish a concept of time and we have less experience of time to relate the experience to.
