Has this ever happened to anybody in Spider Solitare?

I was playing SS on Windows XP, and I got to the point where there was only one card in all slots. Except here's the catch, one card slot was empty. There were 10 card slots, and only 9 had a card in them. So I couldn't deal any more cards because it doesn't let you do that if one card slot is empty. That way, I automatically lost the game and I don't even know how. Has this ever happened to anybody else?

  1. That's part of the rules of the game.  You need to plan so that doesn't happen.  Sometimes that means delaying a pick-up.

  2. that has happened to me before but the best way to avoid it is to not crowd cards that don't go together in some columns

  3. Yes, if you get to a stage where you can't fill out all the slots - and therefore can't deal a new deck of cards, you've lost that game :(

  4. That's part of the rules of the game... you need to catch it before that happens so you can deal your cards out before you get into that situation.
