Has this "Awareness" ever happened to you?

You go along for years thinking certain people are basically good and you only see the "good" in them. Then ..something happens and all of a sudden you begin to see the "evil" in them..that you never noticed before. (I don't mean I think all people are evil..you just begin to see the "bad side" of some people.) Is this an "ability"? If it is..it's not a very fun one!!(Don't get paranoid & think I'm talking about any of you.lol I mean people I've known a long time.)

  1. yeh i ve notice that in mates that have come off drugs, you can say, "you see their true colours".

  2. You are just maturing and realizing that not everything is good and beautiful in this world. I learned from Sylvia Brown's book on Phenomenon the section called The Dark Side. She talks about dark spirits and white spirits being not only in ghost form, but in human form too. In human form, they look exactly like the rest of us. They might be a family member, a lover or spouse, a next door neighbor, a co worker, a supposed friend. In spirit form, their negative energy can deeply affect everything from mechanical and electrical devices to our mental health without our even realizing what's happening. But whether they're in human form or in spirit form, the entities of the dark side all share the same basic qualities. They have no  conscience, no genuine remorse and  no sense of responsibility  for their actions. They take all the credit and none of the blame for everything that happens around them. They mimic human behavior brilliantly without ever really feeling it. They can simulate extraordinary charm, sensitivity, empathy, love, regret, even devout piety if they can use it to their advantage to gain our trust. Once the act has worked they promptly drop it, having no further use for it and frankly finding it to be too much work. That is why you said you noticed that they were pretending to be nice. We white entities, because our emotions and faith are genuine, have trouble imagining that we've been witnessing a performance. So we stay around, trying desperately to resuscitate that wonderful person we're sure is in there because we saw them with our own eyes, unable to grasp that that wonderful person never really existed in the first place. Dark entities live by their own self serving rules, which change at their convenience and don't necessarily apply to anyone else around them. In their minds, their behavior is always acceptable, but they might become outraged or deeply wounded if someone else aims that same behavior at them. The result is that the white entities close to them are constantly kept off balance, which gives the dark entity that much more power. They create as much emotional turbulence, self doubt, guilt and depression as possible in as many white entities as they can seduce into trusting them. Dark entities rarely enjoy each others company.  It is against our human instincts to turn our backs on someone who needs us. But I promise, when it comes to the dark side you're up against, you're wasting your time. A dark entity can't be turned white, any more than a white entity can be turned dark. If it's a dark entity in your life my best suggestion is to get them out of your life if possible. I can remember some I use to know who would fall into this dark side category and I can tell you getting him out of my life was the best thing I could have done. He almost caused my husband I to get a divorce and as soon as he was gone everything got better between my husband and I.

  3. I can list a few wifes or should I say ex wifes!  Does that count?  LOL

  4. One of my favorite quotes from the Tao is:

Recognize beauty and ugly is born.

Recognize good and evil is born.

We all must make judgements on a daily basis.  Things like, I like this shirt because it's pretty, or this food tastes good so i'll eat it, are easy.  Making judgement on peoples' character is a little tougher.  As you get older, or get to know someone better, you start to recognize the flaws on top of the perfections.

Not everyone can be good all the time, and not everyone can be completely evil.  Even Hitler did good things in his lifetime.  Without him, Germany would be a completely different country.  Believe it or not, he did a lot of good things for the German people before the World War.

The ability to judge character comes with experience.  What you do with it is the harder question.

  5. I am pretty sure most people have gone through this sort of "loss of innocence" when it comes to evaluating someone else.  While it's true that sometimes we just don't see how full of **** someone is, it's also possible that a jaded attitude can make you see the world through smudged glasses.  There is a little bit of bad in everybody too.

  6. well im not pshycic but after a long time knowing people you tend to see the real them and grow to accect that that is just there way whereas sometimes i meet someone for the the first time and they seem predictable or know what sort o person they are sounds weird but i really dont know so best of luck

  7. The Bible says that we are ALL born into sin. Some people do very well at being "good" while others embrace evil but hide it well. Your "ability" is a good tool to have-may it serve you well!

  8. Usually people use the terms good and evil to mean "I don't agree with or I dont like this person" or "I do agree with or like this person"

In actuallity the terms refer to an unbiased judgement of moral goodness such as the 10 commandments.

I have known people who could only be described as pure evil by any standards, so I know what you are talking about. So many times they are the friendliest people who put on the front of superior goodness, but eventually you see through the mask and realize they are quite the opposite of who they appeared to be.

Ive known 3 such people in my life, and there may have been more that i never saw through. While most people fall in the grey, and desire to be good and morally upright, but maybe fall victim to greed or anger, there seems to be a very small group that have no desire to be good people, they actually seem to enjoy doing evil and acting good.

Perhaps, an argument for those who believe in demon possession.........

  9. There are various answers to this.  The basic scientific answer is the fight or flight response.  This "feeling" can be triggered by scents, body language, vocal tones, emotions (and energy but scientists may not count that one).  Its kind of like when in nature a predator is sneaking up on prey.  The prey can be totally unaware of the attack, however they can also get the flight or fight response unconsciously by environmental factors (scents, sounds, emotions) and be ready for the attack by fleeing or fighting back.  It is the same with the interaction of humans and animals.  Most no predators are not "spooked" by human present, e.g. a pack of deer, if the human is not having thoughts or emotions of attack or harm.  But if one brings those emotions and thoughts to the forefront, the body reacts by emitting pheromones and other indicators associated with a heightened amount of adrenaline and therefore kicking off the fight or flight response in the deer.  Of course this all could be a crack shot, but from what I understand of biology and bio chem, it seems like this is what you are feeling.

However, I also believe in em-paths, so that could be your answer too.  Mainly its up to you to make the conclusion of how this question is answered.

  10. What you call awareness could be revelation. sometimes relationships go sour on one end , and the other person starts revealing a not so pleasnt side , sometimes mean. its just life.

  11. Yeah actually I have but it wasn't directed at me. Usually though I can tell how people are immediately. That's why I don't just make friends, I observe and silently judge. (so to speak) My first opinion of a person is hardly ever wrong. Is that an ability?

  12. Yeah, unfortunately it has. ((((HUGS))). I'm not sure if that's an ability or not, as I've always been able to see beyond the "cover of the book", so to speak (beyond what people want me to see), but that I believe is you finally see the truth about them, what they choose to put out to the world. Some of us choose to ignore the darkness within and see and act only from the light. Some go the other direction.

    EDIT:

I've been trying to think about that and not getting anywhere. lol It could be you were "blinded", you chose to believe what they put out to world, that "cover". You're a trusting soul, like me you put out love and light and it wouldn't even occur to you to do something like that. So you probably assumed that others wouldn't either. Think about it... was there ever a time you doubted them? A small gut feeling that nagged at you but you just assumed you were wrong, because of who they were? Forgive that side of yourself, BTW. It's OK that you did. They did wrong, not you. :) But what I mean is that chances are you saw it, but like me you just assumed surely you had to be wrong.

  13. Simple it's called discernment, and wisdom.  Typically if people can see past the end of their nose you'll gain this with age.  Also helps being open to God "The closer you get to the origin of life, the more you know life itself"
