Question:

Has yahoo already abandoned their 360 pages?

My contacts and I are having bigger badder issues with 360 ~ and often.

Is it possible that yahoo is trying to push us into early retirement?

I'm getting really fed up but I adore some of my contacts and they are still active on there. Sigh. If multiply had a similar feature to the blast I would probably go ahead and retire. Sigh again.

  1. I only keep a 360 account so I can post a pic here

  2. No. Yahoo-360 is still active as was before. They had plans to closed down by end January, 2008, but this is being delayed by them and I am able to access post and do everything as usual. The difficulty felt by you may be due to some temporary  technical problems. Even they are opening new accounts, which they were supposed to suspend from Jan 1 2008.

Alternatively you can have a blog page in Multiply which ha more or less replaced Yahoo 360 and everyone is having a parallel blog page. -

  3. They said months ago that 360 was pretty much going to be left to it's own devices and that they would not be repairing any errors or glitches on it.

They claimed that this was because they don't have time to work on 360 as they are busy designing the new profile system....but I think they were secretly hoping we'd get so mad at 360 that we'd be glad to see the last of it....

It's a bit pathetic though...is their new system going to be that horrible that they need to make us hate 360? And surely, a massive company like Yahoo can afford to pay a few people to maintain 360 until the new system is ready....

  4. I hope not. I have several poems there that I do not have written down.

  5. UPDATED:

LOL! Well, it is a mess. Until my page becomes completely inoperable, then I'll still work with it. If your contacts are having trouble with messages/comments, see

    and

    For other issues, see http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

Lastly, they can click on my avatar to go to my profile to see "Starred Questions" regarding various 360 issues.

    FYI:

Any "official" updates would be in the Yahoo!360 team blog. They said changes would happen in "early 2008". In my opinion, that means anytime between January and the end of March 2008. Keep checking the 360 team blog for any "official" updates on the situation. They also said that they wouldn't provide updates on the blog for "several" months. I'm guessing we're still in the "several" month period.

In the meantime, they are no longer fixing bugs related to Y!360, so there's no point in trying to contact them about those and it has been abandoned in that sense.

But yes, you can either wait it out or leave. That's the only choices left to us. I'm waiting. I don't like the look of Multiply and I'm not that into Mash.

  6. its all up in the air but I do know that yahoo is laying off alot of workers.. wouldn't surprise me if they get rid of answers as well..way too much trouble on this site.

  7. Multiply does have a page that gives updates on new posts. I seem to only land there by accident and not design. I also think all the "Bling" keeps people from making personal comments, and that is what we all love about 360. I haven't even visited my sight fpr days except to leave a comment on my own site that it is temporarily abandoned. It has great possibilities that do not seem to come to fruition, not unlike the 360's. I feel your pain. I agree with the blast feature being an awesome thing. Maybe id enough people asked for it, Multiply would listen. I do know they seem to actually have someone in customer service there. I'm just riding the fence until they throw us off 360!

  8. I don't really use it either, and i never seen too many people who are actually that active on there, I'm thinking of ideas to making a better web site that is similar to it, and i want to come up with something that is somewhat similar to myspace, but has a distinguishable difference.

  9. Don't hold your breath on MASH, it is the worst garbage I have ever seen. I am embarrassed for whomever came up with the design and did the coding. Picture the worst of 360 combined with the worst from Multiply. That would be much much better than MASH. Don't you just love when they "fix" things here at yahoo.

To answer the actual question yes if your 360 is broken tough c**p for you, they will not be doing anything about it. That is why  ended up creating a second 360 page.

  10. Mash sucks.  I've got the invitations, but can't seem to "get into" it.  Plus the kid in charge keeps sending me emails and can't even spell right. lol  Multiply does not have features that I like, and is confusing to me.  Looks like I will be trying Myspace out; I've heard good things about it.

  11. yahoo is laying off ten percent of it's staff next month. don't expect things to get better, this is as good as it gets, i believe

  12. Well,I would be hypocritical for faulting the Yahoo Watchdogs,in their negligence,as I have been sorely neglecting my good friends on both 360 and multiply pages...I just can't keep up and am not even sure what the 360 issues are,at this point...I'd better take a peek....

EDIT:  Oh MY GOD....this is horrible....what happened??!!...all of my Bonsai's were tipped over and half of my contacts were upside down, with large redXs marked through their avatars....sorry,I'm just tired...lol

    ((((PEACE YO))))
