  1. No comparison, DVR is the greatest. Press a couple of buttons and go my merry way. I can watch the shows I want when I want to watch them.

  2. BETTER... always something to watch , since i record all my favorite shows. and since i skip the comercials, i get 20 minutes of my life back for every hour long show i watch

  3. it has changed it for the better, i have a hacked/modded TiVO and it's the greatest thing since sliced bread. it's hooked to my computer, and after it records a show, it's sent over to my computer to be archived, and put in individual folders. when i get to a point where i can sit down and watch my shows, i fire up the big screen and i can flip through whatever i want at any given time, and not have to worry about anything.. my PC also upconverts anything from standard definition to HD if i so desire, so i can now watch the Simpsons in HD!

but i usually burn dvd's of all my shows so they can be archived and i can erase the hard drive in my tivo.

i get out more, i have a social life, and my girlfriend no longer hates me.

  4. Better! Stuck less! Even though I record more shows, I can zip through them a lot more quickly now. One of the best things has been the reduction in the level of tension around here. No more searching for tapes or space on tapes, or searching through unlabeled tapes (grrr) and the biggest thing: no more getting miffed (or ballistic) because the phone rang or somebody spoke or came to the door or you just didn't catch what a character said the first time....

    I LOVE MY DVR!!!!!
