  1. Doing a hard reset can clear up some slow down issues with the device. Remove the battery from the BlackBerry (while it is still powered on) for 10 seconds, then reinsert.

    Also, you might try deleting some old messages, and clearing out your browser cache as well.


  2. The pearl has a very small amount of onboard memory with which to store and run applications. At the very least, you should buy a small microSD card and setup your pearl to save any pictures/video/songs to the SD card.

    In addition, there is a ton of bundled software and images that come already installed on your smartphone. These cannot be removed by using your phone or simply using the desktop manager. There is, however, a step-by-step post on the blackberry forums that can lead you through freeing up a ton of space on your blackberry, giving you greater speeds and room to install more apps. The link is below. I've done this to 4-5 blackberries and its worked every time.
