Has your experience witheBay been a good one?

I am looking to sell some jewelry and other fine items on eBay. I am totally new to this. I know I have to take a photogrpah of the item and register and set up a PayPal account. Has your experience been positive? Are there any tips you can give me?

my experience wiv ebay was a good one everything delivered when they said it would be and the best tip i could give you is to check the feed back and ask the seller everything you want to know b4 u bid

Ebay is great. Paypal screwed me over bigtime, and I will never ever deal with them again. My Ebay sales do not accept paypal. Period.

make sure your picture(s) show the item at its best

make note of any flaws in the item

answer any email questions you get promptly

Ebay is great and secure, I've made lots of money on ebay. Some tips for selling i could give is

1) Take good clear pictures of the item or items

2) Make sure to pick the category that fits your item, that's how people will find your listing.

3) Describe the item or items to the fullest extent with great detail.

4) Its good to start the item or items at a low price, not so low as to be in the hole if it sells with minimum bids but low enough to make something off it and not discourage people to make bids.

5) Search for similar items and click on advanced search, then click the box to show completed listings. This will show you previous auctions and what they sold for to not only show you what to expect but also to show you how other merchants set up their listing.
