Question:

Has your hair gotten oilier during pregnancy? Any tips or advice?

I am 29 weeks pregnant, and my hair has changed quite a bit during pregnancy. I cannot wash my hair daily because it will dry it out & damage it. Has any one else experienced this? Do you have any tips as to how to keep it looking less oily on the 2nd day or good hair styles to try?

Thanks for any advice :)

PS- I did just buy a product by Biolage (an oil control treatment) you spray on your hair, I just haven't had the chance to try it yet. It is supposed to be similar to a dry shampoo but doesn't leave a white powder (for darker hair). So maybe my hair won't look so bad the 2nd day anymore (fingers crossed). I will let you know how that goes :)

  1. no im the opposite my hair and skin has been so dry..

  2. a couple things you can try:

do not use a conditioner-- for me it seemed that some times it made my hair oilier than normal, so i got to where i just used shampoo

    also...

you can try using a mild dish washing liquid like plain dawn or palmolive (don't get any with bleach or bleach alternatives) and then use a slight bit of conditioner-- the dish washing liquid will strip the excess oil out of the hair, so long as you use a mild formula it shouldn't dry your hair out or damage it.

    good luck
