Question:

Has your neighbour ever used your washing line?

I'm sitting here in disbelief because I was just looking out my kitchen blinds there to find my next door neighbour hanging out there washing on MY rope, my wife is out with friends and I'm working from home today (they don't know that) I mean seriously talk about the cheek of it!!?? they must have waited until they thought nobody was in because she never even asked, I've caught her doing this a few times in the past and have always told her that as she has a washing line and garden of her own she should use hers, I really can't understand why someone would want to keep using my washing line and I can't get through to her NOT to use it.

What do I do?

The world of today... ^_^

Cheers for answering folks, I'm very puzzled.

  1. Never had that. I guess all you can do is talk to her about it or, if possible, take your line down so she can't use it

  2. This is what you do: when you see here doing this again, you sneak up behind her and tackle her to the ground. Pin her there. At this point, I will release my tribe of village people each brandishing a torch and pitchfork and screaming angrily in their wonderful tribe language. you will then release her and allow them to do their duty

anyway, I really do think that is disrespectful and stupid of her. I say you go to her property and start hanging you laudry there. And if she asks why, you can say "because I can't use mine as you seem to have your laundry on it"

  3. Kick her in the F@nny then run away...

    ..She won't do it again.

  4. Your neighbour has washing line envy, hers just isn't good enough. Just calm down Mr Meldrew !

    Good Luck.X :-)

  5. Fortunately not. If she did, i'd take them all off, and chuck them back over to her side of the fence. Perhaps you should do the same.. But then i dont have any immediate neighbours, so wouldn't have that issue.

  6. buy her some rope of her own, dude.

  7. Use her kitchen to make a sandwich.

  8. honey she probably asked your wife it's the sort of thing us woman do. Maybe she is taking in extra washing for a friend and has run out off space.

  9. No never, attach an electric fence to it.

  10. I'd call the police, she's trespassing and you've repeatedly told her to use her own bloody washing line. I can't understand why she would want to use your washing line!!! Is she demented?!?!

That's never happened to me and doubt it ever will or they will have to answer to my father.

  11. No they haven't but i got a rotary line. (How does she get in your garden btw?) if i was you cut down your old line and buy a rotary line that you can take in when you not using it

  12. If your religious? Love your neighbor! If you are not? Cut the clothes line!!!!

  13. no

  14. Lmao..my god i love you..really you crack me up :)

  15. Do you have a care worker?

  16. well yes she has used it but she asked 1st :D

  17. ...How does she gain access to your garden - is it not divided by a fence???  If not I would get one up asap! Or I would make it obvious that you're in and go wander in the garden so get her attention....if that doesn't work - knock on her door and tell her to remove her washing.

  18. take a big pair off scissors to it!

  19. Same here. When she was out, I shredded it down a bit with sharp knife( so that it still looked normal ). I don't use it myself. When she put the next load on, it lasted about 10 minutes and the whole lot fell onto the dirty grass. I never replaced it, so no more agg. Sorted.

  20. if its not a communial garden tell her to sling her hook .. cheeky old trout !

Hasn`t happened to me , my garden has a 6ft fence around it .
