The midfielder is relishing a reunion with his former club as Wolfsburg take on Bayern this weekend.
The Bavarian giants will face http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VfL-Wolfsburg-c40881 in their next Bundesliga match at Allianz Arena. The match will also mark the return of Hasan Salihamidzic to his Allianz Arena- a place where he won six league titles and the UEFA Champions
League in 2001.
Salihamidzic claimed that he is looking forward to the clash against his former teammates on Saturday and admitted that it will be great to return home. He stated that the nine years spent in Munich were certainly the best in his
playing career and remained hopeful of a positive reception from the Bavarian faithful.
 
“Of course, that's obvious. I spent nine seasons with Bayern, so I'm really looking forward to the reunion with former team-mates, colleagues, the fans and the stadium. And I do own a house in Munich, so I would say it's always
wonderful to come home,” he was quoted as saying in an interview to Bayern Munich’s official website.
The Bosnian winger also revealed the reason for his return to the Bundesliga. He claimed that the plan at Wolfsburg impressed him and stated that Felix Magath was one of the main reasons that influenced his decision. He added that

Magath had stated earlier that Salihamidzic signing is a vital one for the club as the player has great experience of playing in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Germany-c2904 and admitted that the midfielder still has some years left in him.
“I was determined to keep playing, and I was very happy to come back to the Bundesliga. I was also enthusiastic about the project in Wolfsburg. I wanted to help the club return to where it was two or three years ago,” he concluded.
Hasan Salihamidzic left Bayern Munich in 2007 to join Turin giants Juventus. The midfielder’s time in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926 was mostly plagued with injuries and he had very few playing opportunities in the last two seasons. Bianconeri released
the player last summer and Wolfsburg signed the free agent on a one-year deal.
