  1. Hash whites? Depends on how you cooked them. If you microwaved them, they probably steamed and that's probably why they didn't brown. but they should be ok. they're probably under cooked or old if you cooked them any other way and they are still white.

  2. your pan was just not hot enough !

hope they're not too dry after you refry them !

pinch a small piece and put in oil if it sizzles then your ready to fry....

  3. They best way to cook them is on a griddle. If you cook them in a pan they can have too much steam in them and won't brown up nicely. Put some oil on the griddle and heat it. Add the hash browns in a single flat layer. Cook on one side until brown and then flip. Only flip once.

  4. Add oil to fry pan, when hot put potatoes in and fry. When golden brown on one side flip and to the same to the other side. The inside of a potato is white. Taste it.

  5. I am sure they are fine. Did you cook them long enough?

  6. Put them back on a frying pan and brown them up a bit. They'll taste better than anemic ones.

  7. White before cooking??  Probably just some frost on them.  cook em up and they should be fine.

  8. do not understand your question????

  9. If they are hot they are OK, I normally bake or fry them, depending upon how many I have to heat.

  10. If you like them brown, you need to fry them in hot olive oil.  Don't turn the potatoes until the bottom is brown,  then flip over to brown the other side.

  11. Just cook them longer.
