<p><strong>Hashim Amla content with T20 showings from youngsters – Cricket News Update</strong></p>
<p>Proteas stand in skipper, Hashim Amla was content with the showings of his youngsters against Australia, after they helped the team to level the T20 series.</p>
<p>The hosts went 1-0 down in the two match T20 series and the writing were on the walls when chasing 148 in the second T20 match, they lost seven batters, still needing over 50 runs. However, a Wayne Parnell and Rusty Theron unbeaten partnership paved way
for a thrilling comeback, which guided them to the victory line with five-balls to spare.</p>
<p>While initially having a off day with the ball, Parnell crucial knock of 29 off just 11 balls, which included 3 fours and two sixes was came under notice and the skipper was pleased to see him perform.</p>
<p>"We always knew he could play, he could be a genuine allrounder," Amla said. "He did not have the best day with the ball but it's about bouncebackability."</p>
<p> Amla also took time to look at the bigger picture for many of the youngsters, and felt that have given a good account against a formidable opposition, especially after the team resting many of its key members.</p>
<p>The management has decided to give lengthy breaks to the likes of Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn and the injury to AB de Villiers made the team pretty much relying on a group of youngsters, including Colin Ingram, Theron, and David Miller.</p>
<p>"The reason they [Steyn and Kallis] are rested is to give other people an opportunity," Amla said. "We know how fantastic they are and now we want to know how fantastic other players are. From what we know of them, their attitude is what sticks out and they
have a massive desire to learn. At a young age if you have that, you can go very far."</p>
<p>The next task for the stand in skipper is to lead the team in the One Day arena, where they will lock horns with their opponents in three matches, with the first one starting in two days time at Centurion, which will also see the return of the likes of Kallis
and Styen, adding much needed experience to the line-up.</p>
