Hashim Amla feels to be in Good position
Hashim Amla, the formidable batsman from team http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750.
While sharing his views in the post math press conference, Amla said, “Losing four wickets is never a good thing. But with a little juice in the wicket and overhead conditions we’re in a good space. The first session (on Monday) will be crucial but we haven’t
discussed a total yet. It’s quite challenging, more for the batters. There’s still a fair covering of grass on it. The ball is 70 overs old and it’s still nipping. There is a bit of moisture, so I suppose it will get better for batting if the sun comes out.”
Expressing his admiration for the senior player Jacques Kallis, who was still on the pitch with 81 runs on the board, Amla said that he had given classic performance on rather a difficult pitch. Adding on to his remarks he said, “Jacques has probably been
the key to our team for 15 years now. On a testing wicket there’s always going to be playing and missing. He showed his class today, kept the innings together and played really well.”
When asked to give his views about the rain breaks which had culminated in disrupting the play for two times in the day, he said that to switch on and off in cricket was entirely a mental shift. When he got to go on pitch after the break, though he had to
bear some loose deliveries, but soon he regained his momentum. Replying to the question of a reporter, the batsman also denied having exchange of words with the Indian bowler Sreesanth. He claimed that he did not say anything in response what the bowler had
said.
Upon a question by the reporters whether there was a rush of blood which led him to play a poor shot and to give his wicket away, he said that it was only because of having eaten some chocolates, and instead of anything else, it was like a sugar high. While
concluding his view, the batsman said that he observed some full balls which he successfully capitalized on, and with that, the momentum gone with him.
