Hassanal Mowoko aims to deliver in upcoming Mauritius Championships – Badminton news
Tanzania’s talented badminton player, Hassanal Mowoko, is determined to live up to the expectations in the upcoming Mauritius Championships, which will be held in the upcoming month in Mauritius.
Hassanal has been facing many financial problems that forced him to miss many international tournaments including the recently ended Kenya International. He has been looking for sponsorships to participate in as many international tournaments as possible.
While talking to Daily News, the impressive Hassanal said that he is working really hard in training sessions to improve his physical fitness and playing skills. After the hard work of almost six months, he is optimistic to find sponsorships.
He said, “I’ve been undergoing intensive training for months now hoping to secure sponsorship to enable me take part in the international tournaments outside the country.”
While talking about his objectives, Hassanal said that he want to become among the best players of whole Africa. He has been playing top quality badminton but lack of resources has been creating many problems for him.
He further added, “My goal is to advance and become one of the top African players in the country after excelling during the first ever national tournament held in Dar es Salaam in May.”
A few players at The Khalsa Club told Daily Times that Hassanal is negotiating with the Tanzania Badminton Association (TBA) for getting financial assistance which will help him to participate in international tournaments.
TBA has been putting in its efforts to keep badminton alive in African region. They have worked really hard to produce better players but lack of resources and training facilities have been a stumbling block in their way.
Now, Hassanal is struggling hard to find financial assistance that will help him to become a part of international tournaments and gain much-needed experience and exposure.
Hassanal, who has improved his physical fitness and playing tactics, is very confident to put up strong show in the upcoming tournament in Mauritius.
Sponsorship is all what Hassanal needs at the moment and he believes that after working so hard in training, he deserves to get assistance and participate in major tournaments outside the country.
