Question:

Hassle? switching from Virgin Media to Sky - saved any money/better service anyone?

Have phone/tv/broadband virgin package originally 3 for 30 quid, but now I have movies and extra channels I don't want or watch anymore so now it's 76 quid a month. I just spoke to Virgin about going back to the basic package and they waffled about me not being eligible anymore - despite ads on tv. Sky seems to be offering the 3 for 19 quid, but you need to pay line rental which seems to be 11 quid?

Was it a hassle to switchover, I assume a lot of people went through this after the skyone/virgin fight last year. Before I re-tackle virgin about downgrading my service again - would like your opinions. Ta.

  1. The cheapest broadband package that I have found is at

    www.UtilitySaving.Biz

This also comes with a phone line.  The reason that it is so cheap is there is NO BT LINE RENTAL to pay on top of the cost of the broadband (which is really cheap anyway) and they also give away unlimited free calls on some packages - WELL WORTH A LOOK!

  2. Threaten to leave virgin and they will soon make you a good offer. We did that and now we have broadband, the XL TV package and the full phone package, and V+ for £46 per month.

If you do go to Sky you have to have a BT line which they charge £11 per month. If you don't already have a line you have to pay BT £150 to have one put in!
