  1. I used to live next to a bird breeder and I can tell you he hatched a lot of eggs, I cannot tell the details because it's been over 27 years, but it was warm for a long period of time I want to say weeks the Temp I'm not sure but pretty warm I want to say upper 80's lower 90's don't quote you need to research this on the internet I'm sure it will not be hard to find.  As far as the turning, your hatching them not cooking them in a microwave, I don't believe you need to turn them, lol.  I am really most curious how you decided to build a home made incubator figured it would work and don't even know what the heck your doing what gives, why are you going down this road, best of luck to you on this adventure.  One thing I can never forget is when all those baby chicks hatched they were so cute and active, you also have to remember once they hatch what are you going to feed them they hatch hungry ad active!!!
