Hatching wont happen!!!!!!!!!!!?

Question

my chicks wont hatch it longer then the 21 like the 23 day but i know that they are alive because i crcked one open please dont put anything mean up i already feel bad already i cried myself to sleeep but when i opened it up the chick move so i got so scared i felt like a murder so my dad helped he got a plastic spoon cause its soft and put it back in and it was still breathing then whe did back to back duck thape then put it on it so sytuff wouldnt come out but not the stick part any ways it the 23 day not peep ing and i dont think the is any movemovement but we know that the alive and have fur but i dont think the tummy thing has been absorbed when will they hatch what can i dow help anyone anything advice please i dont wanna loose them on my first hatch

what kind of bird was it? is it just a chicken? maybe they werent ready to come out yet...

Maybe there going to be late hatchers, wait a few more days. If they don't hatch, call your vet.

Like many people have already said the eggs may just be late hatchers. As long as the parents are still sitting on the eggs you should be fine. I would only check them again if you notice the parents have pushed the eggs outside of the nest ring. One of my chicks never peeped inside its shell so I wouldn't worry about not hearing any peeping. Once the chicks pip(make small dents around the shell) it can take about 2 days for them to hatch out completely. However, if the eggs appear to be grey chances are the chick is dead in shell. Also, I am not sure how the duct tape will work, as the chick will not be able to push its self out. If you only cracked the egg partially you could use a thin layer of water soluble glue (elmers works) to mend the crack, watch it closely and once it starts to try to break through use warm water to remove the glue with a Q-tip...and hope for the best. (I too will keep my fingers crossed)

Did you mark the eggs as to which ones have been incubated the longest? If you cracked through the membrane of the first laid he may just be ready to hatch. There are blood vessels that run through the thin membrane of the egg until the chick is ready to hatch. If there weren't any busted your chick is probably ready to leave the shell anyways.

besides why would you crack it open anyway?

more to the point are you SURE your eggs are fertile?

were they candeled after around a week of being in the incubator/under mummy hen?. . .

are you sure they have been incubated for the 21 days?

no offence you sound very en-experienced and what you have written is very unclear,

all i can say is wait and see for a few more days, they could just be late hatchers.. or infertile ..
