When I was in elementary school, the school had this rule that you had to try everything at least once even if you thought you didn't like it. I remember being made to eat salad which made me sick to my stomach. I've hated it every since then and can't even smell it without feeling a bit off.

Two questions

Do some some schools still have that rule?

And how can I make myself try something that I don't like as I want to start eating healthy and lose a little weight? the same goes with real yougurt....I can only eat that kind that soft and tastes like ice cream.

  1. I find it hard to believe that today any school would force a child to eat something they didn't want to eat.

You shouldn't have to eat something you already know that you don't like. Try to identify the problem that you have with the salad. Is it the lettuce, or a certain kind of dressing?

You can eat healthy without eating green salads. Salads come in many different forms. One of my favorite and very healthy is a chicken fruit salad, it's very tasty even with no dressing it's moist and flavorful. There are other vegetable salads you might like. You don't have to eat yogurt to be healthy or to lose weight, but if you do want to have it in your diet, try my lo-cal yogurt pie, you won't even know it's there.
