The Westboro Church located in Kansas in picketing in Winnipeg, MB for the death of Tim McLean. I have heard that in the US, 'Freedom of Speech' protects them. I read that in Canada, it is considered a hate crime if: The crime of "publicly inciting hatred" has four main elements. To contravene the Code, a person must:
communicate statements,
in a public place,
incite hatred against an identifiable group,
in such a way that there will likely be a breach of the peace.
So in that case, wouldn't they all be arrested? Do you know if they are protected under any sort of 'Freedom of Speech' thing?
