Hate living here and I want to move but...?

we bought a house here in 2005. If we sell we will be lucky to break even. This means no downpayment on another house. But I HATE where I live so much and I want to go to where I consider home (which happens to be 900 miles from here). When will the market ever get better? Will I have to wait forever to build equity? If I didn't have my husband to worry about I would try to break even and just move. I am so depressed here.

  1. You won't find a turnaround in housing any time real soon, in fact prices should drop another 10% and that's just before it flattens out.  You may be looking at years, literally.  But as far happiness, all things are what you make of them.  Discover what it is that makes you unhappy and determine that you will fix that situation.

  2. If you and him have a job to go to once you move then why not? You cant be somewhere where you don't want to be and expect to be happy, I say move and be happy! You won't have money for down-payment, but at least you will be in a happier situation = )
