Hate the red wings?

dear Pittsburgh Penguins fans, for those of you who hate the Red Wings, did you hate them before you played them in the Stanley cup? or did you hate them when they beat Dallas? One more thing. Do you think the Colorado Avalanche are any good? I like both the Avalanche and penguns

I'm a Wings fan so I love them, and of course I hate The Av's. But I also hated the Av's right away because I felt like Colorado didn't pay their dues by getting a SC their first season. Coloradan's didn't have to go through all the trials and tribulations that every one else has to. Quebec should have gotten that SC. And lastly I couldn't stand Roy or Lemieux.

im a canucks fan and ive hated the red wings forever. personally i think they're just the most stacked team in the nhl

Nobody hates your team because they are irrelevant, we will have to start worrying when you and the rest of the haters actually stop asking questions like this.

I'm obvioulsy a wings fan and i just wanted to say two things.  First to Wingnut, you give the rest of us wings fans a bad name because you are so fricken cocky.  Second, is that I don't hate teams just because they beat the wings if they played a good game then I have more respect for them.  Oh i forgot to mention the Avs, they are a good team but I dislike them because of '97 and '98. But those were fun games to watch.

yes i am a diehard pens fan and i hated the red wings for like 5 years before we played them in the cup cuz they were soo stacked (i'm also a steelers fan and i hate the patriots for the same reason)

Naw, I don't hate the Red Wings, even when they beat my Stars.  However, I have a strong dislike for some of the so-called 'fans' of the Wings on this site (I'm not talking about the true fans, like Redwingsqueen or Moose or the like).

The Avs aren't my favorite team, but they're all right.

No I love the Red Wings

but I am in a chatty mood right now.  So from the other perspective- I didnt hate the Pens before and I dont hate them now.  It seems like most of the Pens went somewhere else though(to play)  which I thought was very strange- I dont understand why since I think they had a good shot at the playoffs again.  Now, I am not to sure- but we will see.  But what do I know-lol.

Why do you hate the Red Wings? i don't like them either but im a pittsburgh fan. It's like the Patriots. Just because they are so d**n good people don't like them. Its how sports work.

not really a fan of the red wings as they beat the pens, but you cant argue theyre an awesome team.

It's not the Red Wings fault that they are the best team in the NHL. There is a salary cap for a reason. Everyone in the NHL has the same opportunity to do well. In fact recently in sports illustrated the reported the the Red Wings paid less per win then every other team. They just are just so amazing at every thing they do. Maybe other teams should just try harder.

I hate them for the reason that i didnt want to play them and that they get away with stupid calls. Cant wait for a rematch. I liked the Avalanche in the playoffs.

i've always hated the detroit red wings & i've hated them since i became a hockey fan in 2002. that's how long i've been a sharks fan & i don't really have a reason to hate them, that's just how it kind of is for me. i'm glad they beat dallas because dallas beat my team the sharkies ;( stupid starts grrrrrrrrr. i think the avs are decent but there not as good as the red wings, sharks, penguins, stars, & ducks. i like the sharks & penguins, but the sharks are my number 1 lol.

Yes I hate them, but I started hating them after the first Stanley Cup Final game.

I don't pay attention to any other team than the Pens, so I have to say that I'm  not a fan of the Avalanche. Sorry.

Being a native in Pittsburgh, I can assure you the bandwagon remains strong.  Detroit whooped on Pittsburgh, and Pittsburgh hates them.

I am a die hard red wings fan, l always have been. Hating a team because they beat you is just pure envy. Your teams had every chance to beat another team, it's truly based on how hungry you are to win, if your really that hungry for the cup, you will play your hearts out night in and night out. Pittsburgh played extremely well, but being an extremely young team, they let the emotions get the better of them, they are inexperienced in the losing department, and they tramped every eastern conference team they faced, so when they got to the cup, they expected it to be handed to them, and that's where their problems truly started. I don't hate the Penguins, they deserved to be there, but, they just couldn't keep their emotions in check, and it really showed. good luck next year pens. sorry we took hossa from you.

As for the Avs, i don't hate them, i have a lot of respect for them and how they play.

I am an avalanche fan and it is necessary for me to hate the red wings. i have hated them since the 1997 brawl when I really realized the rivalry

Of course you are going to hate them if they just beat you to win the cup, it is called envy. I hate them as a Blackhawks fan but I still respect them, and they deserved it 100% were as teams in previous years didn't. The Avalanche also have a goaltending problem so they probably won't make the playoffs next year but who knows?
