Hather Sherlock to take advantage of wide draw in Sheffield Stadium Puppy 500m
Hather Sherlock is enjoying a wide draw, which will surely help him avoid a nudge from the neighbours. Although the black dog is not in the best of form at the moment, it is hard to overlook him from the sixth stall.
On December 20th, E. Parker’s trainee was second to Farley Hondo, who is currently enjoying the highest odds of 5 to 2. There is plenty going for him, and therefore we expect him to come up with a solid performance.
The Februaary-11 hound showed great improvement after facing a terrible loss over 660 metres here on December 13th. On his previous two ventures, the son of College Causeway was second on the table.
He was no more than an unfortunate loser last time. The dashing hound had every chance of claiming the victory, but nothing good happened. He is fully determined now, and could get back to the winning ways.
Other hounds in the race are: Farley Hondo, Desert Joe, Deltic Tornado, Castle Flower, and Donnas Boe. The 500 metres contest is due to commence at 13:58 GMT. The winning prize is 200 pounds.
Castle Flower is in good form at the moment. But it is hard to trust her blindly, because she did not run too well when last here. After taking the A2 triumph in mid December, the blue b***h stepped up to this class, and won the race by two and a half lengths.
Desert Joe, the local grader, is showing excellent early pace these days. His ability to shock the rivals in the beginning will prove very crucial. However, if he fails to do some damage early on, his chances will be no more than zero.
Deltic Tornado is likely to be more of a breeze than a Tornado. Moreover, the black and white dog needs an element of luck to get back to the winning ways. Donnas Boe should find this easier than the last two races. But the white and black dog cannot be
trusted after a couple of awful defeats.
Farley Hondo is one of the big players here. Having resumed his journey on a winning note, the fawn dog is fully pumped, looking good to offer more. Good luck to all the contestants.
