Hats My Lady stands first in the WIN MORE WITH THE CORAL GREEN TICK MAIDEN STAYERS at Romford on Jan 18
Hats My Lady, the daughter of Royal Impact out of Ardera Model, was the star of the show, grabbing top spot in the WIN MORE WITH THE CORAL GREEN TICK MAIDEN STAYERS.
The 575 metre long Grade Open Race (OR) was hosted by Romford on Wednesday evening, January 18, 2012.
There were many strong contenders for the cash prize of £500, but the black b***h outclassed them all. With starting price of 4 to 1, she commenced the proceedings from second trap.
Early pace coupled with a fine run on rails helped the b***h cover the distance in 35.46 seconds. D.D. Knight’s trainee was followed by Razldazl Monroe, who was carrying the odds of 8 to 1.
The runner-up b***h, Kinloch Brae’s child out of Dundooan Diva, finished three lengths adrift of the winner, clocking the area in 35.70 seconds.
The following three positions went to Doctor Robert, Deanridge Rage, and Lethal Roy, respectively – the trio holding the winning chances of 4 to 1, each.
The third position went to Doctor Robert’s credit, courtesy of his good run throughout. The blue hound, trained by D Henry, lost third place just by a neck’s margin.
After leaving third stall, the son of Droopys Kewell out of Yellow Submarine conceded 35.73 to arrive at the post.
Deanridge Rage, finished 3 ¾ lengths short of the third placed dog, making it to the final point in 36.03 seconds. The son of Droopys Vieri out of Droopys Jackie started off his run from fourth stall.
The fifth on the chart, Lethal Roy’s covering time was 36.17 seconds, only a head ahead of the back marker. The stats showed that it was certainly not a good outing for Bubbly Ebony, the favourite hound with the odds of 3 to 1.
Honcho Classic’s son out of Capel Ebony finished last on the table, concluding the race in 36.18 seconds. After being baulked, the black dog was not in a position to challenge rest of the hounds.
The trainer, P W Young would have been slightly disappointed with the outcome, as his hound could not come up with an inspiring run. On the other hand, Hats My Lady, has registered her second consecutive triumph.
