  1. I think Cotto is much stronger and more skilled than Hatton. Ricky is faster but he has looked horribale as a welterweight. Juan Lazcano who was moving up from lightweight hit Hatton and hurt him pretty bad I think Cotto's strength and punching power would overcome anything Hatton could do.

  2. Ricky won a title in his 1st fight at 147 and dropped him in the 1st 20 sec of the fight also it was his 1st time well big fight in the US.

then he lost to the pound 4 pound king in the orther. so its not as bad as some think. some  say hes is done after one lose

i like cotto but he has not done anything yet for me  yes he is good and see how much in his next fight. id like to see hatton up with  cotto as im sure if it was cotto in with floyd  you would of seen the same a floyd ko cotto as there are the same breed  hatton and cotto .

  3. I LOVE Ricky Hatton and I think he's one of the best things to ever happen to British boxing, he's a fantastic person and a very good boxer...BUT...Cotto has looked like a monster at welterweight. He hurts people badly in their fights, not just with one punch or a combo but over a span of rounds. Fighting Cotto appears to be like dying a slow death, he tortures you, and I think that should he and Ricky ever fight, as hard as it is for me to say this, I think Ricky gets hurt badly over a span of about 8 rounds before finally being stopped hard.

  4. cotto by knock out.i think the fight would be much shorter than mayweathers and hatton would be marked up a lot worse.cotto fights fire with fire and and hatton will never have experienced anything like it.any fight at welter is risky for hatton and against he best it would be suicidal

  5. Hatton is a good guy and a tough fighter, but he doesn't have the skill to beat someone like Cotto. In a fight anything is possible. One fighter can get hurt or just land that one punch. You can fight someone 100 times and land that one punch and win that 1. So I won't say Hatton doesn't have a chance. He's got 2 hands so he's in it.

I suppose I shouldn't mention skill level. Some fighters are far more skilled overall, but yet just can't beat that one guy even if they're overall better. But I don't see Hatton winning. Tough fight, but Cotto in the 8th or 9th by stoppage.

  6. if hatton fights cotto, hatton made a big big mistake. cotto and hatton both like to bang only cotto is a bigger and stronger guy the fight makes no sense for hatton.

  7. No way this fight happens.

Hatton is tryin to stay at 140 as long as possible. He already struggled at 147 against average competition. Againsta top welter he would be destroyed. Hatton was hurt in his last fight at 140 by a much smaller guy.

      Cotto would KO Hatton.

Hatton is either fighting Malignaggi @ 140 for Paulie's IBF title or possibly a big fight with Pacquiao although I doubt it. Pacquiao is to small.
