Question:

Haunted Apartment?

I live in an historic apartment building, and a man died in my apartment in the twenties. Now his ghost haunts it. He is not mischievious or particularly scary, he just sits in a phantom rocking chair and complains for hours about how tough it was when he was my age, and how kids these days don't know how good they've got it. What can I do?

  1. Tell him you've already heard all his c**p before and if he plans on staying maybe he could change the topic -- or just be quiet for that matter...otherwise, he is more than welcome to leave.

  2. From the sounds of it this ghost may be interactive, so I would suggest you confront it gently. In a kind voice clearly state "you are dead, you no longer live here. you need to go to the other side, your family & friends are waiting for you." It may take a couple times of repeating this to get the message clear, but you may be surprised at the results. If this doesn't work, do a Google search for a local paranormal investigation group in your area. *****Help baby Osiris: visit paranormal-society dot com for fund-raiser information!*****

  3. Change apartment at once. You must live happily and not in tension.

  4. I would have to say...take his advice. If he is not mischievious than what harm is there?

  5. TELL HIM TO GO INTO THE LIGHT. YOU MAY HAVE TO TELL HIM 3 TIMES IN A ROW. HE WILL NOT HURT YOU. AS LONG AS HE CAN FEEL THAT HE IS ANNOYING YOU HE WILL CONTINUE TO COMPLAIN. HE IS EARTHBOUND. GOOD LUCK!

  6. listen 2 him and remember what advice he gives u for when u have children

  7. You can tell him to leave. Tell him this is your house. If you will. He needs to leave. Tell him in a bold but understanding matter. Tell him he needs to go into the light and that there are people who love him and are waiting for him. Tell him not to be scared it's ok.

Now, does he do this everyday at the same time when it happens or does it seem to be happening at different times. This might be a residual haunting if it's just repeating itself. If he just seems to be going thought the motions and not really talking to you that's what you have. There is nothing you can do. A residual haunting is like a re-run in time that will repeat for what seem like forever. I will happen on the same day, at the same time and last the same amount of time when it happens. Now if he shows up in different places in your house then you have a smart haunting and you need to do what I said above.

Try to get a video or a evp of this also. This will help you if you need a ghost hunter team to help you out.

  8. I hate to answer a question with a question, but what is it that you would like to do?  What brought your attention to him other than the rocking of the chair?  Are you aure that the enity is male?

You can try(and I would) to get photographic evidence.  A voice recording would be good also.

If you would prefer for him to move on..ask him.  Explain to him that he is not welcome anymore and that it is your wish that he pass over.

If you dont really want him to leave, then ask him to back off a bit and stop making the sounds or whatever he does to draw attention to himself.

you'd be surprised how well that works.

  9. Solution 1:

See if you can find another old ghost in a rocking chair and get that ghost to move in with you. Then the two old ghosts can complain to each other about kids today and leave you out of it!

    Solution 2:

Consult with a local paranormal group to see if there is a local retirement home for aging ghosts. Maybe you can get him to move.

  10. I used to have that same apartment back in the 80's.

He told me that if it is raining money to turn my umbrella upside down.

Is he still wearing that old green sweater?

  11. What do YOU feel like doing? Sometimes we attract things and sometimes our own feelings and will make things happen.

Honestly, if you do not feel threatened, go and converse with him. For some reason, he is there. Maybe he's there for your reason. Maybe you need someone to talk to without risk of judgment being passed or without secrets being revealed (via if you spoke to a person who is alive).

I think that if he can release all his frustrations on you that you have every right to reciprocate and release all your ideas and thoughts to him. It'll make you feel better (especially if you're pissed off about life or something) and maybe...just maybe he'll feel you're treating him like a human being and he'll just vanish because his wish has been fulfilled.

  12. Maybe you can learn more about him.  What do you know about him?  Remember, he was alive once, and maybe he still thinks so.  As entertaining that sounds, I'd have to agree that 1.  Talk to him.  Tell him that his time has past and that he needs to move on 2.  You should get him to move on.  You might have to bring in a priest or a minister or something to help him move on.  3.  move out.  Better to move out than risk having something else move in, or maybe he won't move on and instead withdrew temporarily.

  13. take video and put it on utube.
