i live in the south-east of england and am looking for a 'haunted house' that i can stay overnight in with a friend. does anywhere know of anywhere supposedly genuinely haunted where you can do this, or how i would go about finding somewhere...this is something we both really want to do, and the scarier the better, but i've got no idea where to start or how i would go about finding such a place...any ideas hit me, open to all suggestions.

  1. i live in america so i dont know of any specific places but i suggest that you google it.

  2. I live in the US sorry

  3. Just to add some more possible options for you - this page lists several reportedly haunted places in England (and throughout the UK) that may be of interest to you.

I would check out any haunted inns and hotels to start - places where the public is allowed and can stay overnight.  "Haunted houses" are usually private property and guests are not allowed to stay overnight without permission - unless you are a working paranormal investigation team, you probably won't get permission to stay at a haunted house overnight "just for fun".

    Happy hunting!

  4. have you thought about joining a local paranormal group they tend to be established groups that are allowed access and stay overs in places that wouldn't usually have ghost hunters as house guests. check it out you would be with like minded people and get to see and do more than just staying in a hotel for the night.

the link below has a list of societies that may interst you. and also details of very haunted places to visit.

some places offer camping in the ground rather than staying in the homes, this could be scary in it's self.

most of all go with an open mind and enoy it

  8. There is a rather large one in Kent.  I"m not sure, but I think it is Hever Castle.  I think it was turned into a hotel.  Hever is where Anne Boleyn spent her time before marrying Henry, and where Henry exiled Ann of Cleves.  Look up the television show "Most Haunted"  they have investigated all over the south east.  There was even an entire village that is supposed to be the most haunted place in britain.

  9. I doubt that there will be any empty haunted houses that the owners are going to let you spend the night in, un-supervised and alone, (for obvious reasons) so your best bet would be a Haunted hotel.

Check out the link below, as that summarises which Inns and Hotels all over Britain are Haunted and willing to put you up for the night.
