Havana Gold expected to be strong in £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Trophy
Havana Gold will be the one to beat in the £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2yo Trophy at Newmarket in England on Saturday, October 6, 2012. He is a consistent runner and has made his team proud on numerous occasions. It will be hard for his opponents to stop
him from taking the top in the end.
The conditions will not really matter for the young runner, as he has the ability to adapt very quickly. However, he will still be hoping that the weather stays clear before the start of action in the class-2 encounter, which has a cash prize of £277,522
for the winner. At the moment, the track is not in a bad position and the organisers have described the going as good to soft.
Looking at the performances of Havana Gold, it seems highly unlikely for the other stallions to some in his way. He has been rated as the outright favourite to succeed and will enter the event with a starting price of 9 to 4. The punters should not risk
many bets against him today, as there is a chance for them to win some easy money at the end of the day.
The young runner made his debut in July this year and he was competitive right from the start of his career. He was not given the best odds for victory back then, but impressed one and all with his speed, taking the top spot comfortably.
Considering his debut run, the Richard Hannon’s trainee was rated as the favourite to succeed in his very next race. He did not disappoint his fans during that event and stormed to the top for the second consecutive time in his career.
However, things did not go well for the two-year-old colt next time around, as he failed to complete a hat-trick. He was looking strong in that race as well, but unseated the rider towards the end.
Despite that, Teofilo’s son did not panic and kept on delivering strong results for his team afterwards. He triumphed in the next two contests and will now be hoping to record the first hat-trick of his career. Veteran jockey, Richard Hughes, will be the
one partnering him in the race.
