Have 17" tires and want to change to 16" because of rims but...?

Question

i have the chrome rims on a jeep. These were the stock rims that came with the limited edition. I know someone that wants to trade with me and his are 16" . He has the rims I want. I dont really like the chrome rims. I was wondering whether it was a good idea to trade with him, if it would be a rip off..and if i went from a 17" tire to a 16" whether i would have consequences like messing with the ride of the car, the speedometer, etc...

I really want to trade him for his rims ..but i dont want negative consequences. Should i trade and take the risk? or try to find someone with a 17" tire to get the rim i want and wait?

i think it would affect your speedometer but i think you should call a tire shop cause there may be other reasons and it' free

I have low profile 17" on my saturn sc2... I had one rim crack a long time ago cost 135 to buy a new one.... I really wouldnt mind having 16's because more thread...

but on a jeep 17" are nice. You can always try to get him to add $.

Also try craigslist post an add free, see what people are selling

it wouldnt be a rip off...it might be better for you cause smaller the rim, cheaper the tire if something was to happen to em, i have a 06 f-150 and i had 20 inch rockstars and i traded em for 18s moto metals, which is a big rip off on my part but its cheaper for the tires..soo take the good with the bad. goodluck on ur decision
