Have 1935E silver certificate one, is torn on right corner and "1" is not visible there? worth anything?

  2. The series 1935E $1 silver certificate is not a rare item and sells for around $3 in grade fine. Your note may not grade that high and be only very good. Most people do not understand that the date on a note is not the date it was printed but the date authorized and they add a letter when there is a new signature. Your note could have been printed in the early 1950's. It is worth holding onto for as time goes by even the notes that are damaged, have their value go up. Do a check in say 20 years.
