  1. I've done that purposely at the driving range, got a little carried away and it took like 5 hours to eventually hit someone elses ball.

  2. I was working as a caddy for Jim Dent on one of the senior golf stops way back when. We finished an early round on Saturday and Chichi had just finished his round behind us. He was signing his card and asked me if I was coming to the demo. I complied and followed him and his crowd to the range. He wore a headset so he could talk and still hit.

He was demonstrating various shots, nothing I hadn't seen before, then he puts down three balls. I had done this as well thinking no big deal. he went back , hit, back , hit , back and hit, Then he said hook fade hook. and did it again perfectly. He then said now were going to reverse it. He did it perfectly, still I'm thinking no big deal. Then he said he would repeat the last yet the third ball would be straight. so slice , hook. straight only this time there would be a catch. The first and second balls would collide in mid air and the second would pass through the same spot they hit. he did warn the crowd that sometimes it takes a while. He did it on the second attempt. Needless to say Chi Chi was on my new favorite golfers list after that.

  3. never

  4. i really doubt thats ever happened, specially in competition

  5. The only way this could happen is if two balls from two different holes hit.  I wouldn't be surprised if it's happened somewhere before, as long as people have played golf, although I don't know about in competition.

  6. In a professional tournament, it is impossible. In a girls high scholol tournament in Texas, it did happen. Two girls hit their balls from different tee boxes on different holes that were paralled to one another. The first girl, Liz, hit hers from the top and hooked it, and the other, Alex, sliced hers. The fairways had no trees in between them and the balls actually collided and landed in opposite fairways. It was actually a pretty misfortunate event. There is no rulings. The girls had to play the balls as they lied.

  7. There is no penalty. Play the ball as it lies. Rule 19-5b.

The only time it might be a penalty is on the putting green (Rule 16-1f).

  8. the ruling is one of the golfers hit out of turn. the penalty for doing this effects both golfers, because the one that hit in turn had his ball deflected. you will have to get out the USGA rules book on the  above. the changes of two balls hitting from different fairways are almost zero.

  9. i really doubt it

  10. Seeing as how they take turns, I'm gonna say no.
