It is a big story and can greatly affect the U.S. and world food supply.

1) it is happening all over the world

2) although bee reductions have happened before, this year is the worst on record.

3) without honey bees, many crops cannot be fertilized.

  1. It has, but it is being ignored 4 some reason.

  2. I saw it on http://www.rense.com     they even have so plausible theories as to why they are dieing off.

  3. I don't know about them but it was on NPR.  If you go to their website you could probably find it in archives or something.  I don't think it was more than a month ago.

  4. It is called Colony Collapse Disorder and not getting the press it should. Best guess so far believe it or not is its being caused by Cell Phones. The signal from the Cell is messing up there direction finding ability and they get lost outside the hive.

And its not just many crops can not be fertilized, its the vast majority of them.Einstein said, "If the honey bee dies out man will follow within four years"

  5. Yes. I saw it a few weeks ago on the news. I think it was on CBS. I think this is the link to the story http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2007/02/1... .

  6. Yes, it has been reported on most news stations and probably most news mags.

  7. very scary, but i havent heard any reports , hope its not true where did you hear this?

  8. Maybe this has something to do with Global Climate change? Sorry for connecting everything with global warming but it's pretty plausible that all these disappearances of animals are caused by change in the temperature that they're accustomed to.
