Have AFL umpires been told to throw games so that the "favourites" can win?

For the last few years I have been observing this and have found it to be true in my opinion. I was shocked to find out that the AFL profit greatly by whatever profits TAB Sportsbet make. Wouldn't that give them a great motive to make sure that the favourites win?

Ahh yes!  There's nothing like a good conspiracy theory to get the people thinking!  I have to admit that it would explain the inconsistencies of some of their decisions and why anyone questioning them are either ignored or fined.  But as much as I'd like to entertain the idea of  AFL approved  "match fixing"  and therefore giving us another reason to hate the men in white, I doubt it.  But that doesn't mean it's not true...

Watching Geelong vs the Swans being a swans supporter i was a bit amazed by the umpires ruling, with Geelong a favrioute going Sydneys way, also Collingwood vs the Kangas, All The Kangas way.

umpires do not throw games even though the AFL does profit from bets at the tab, i dont know what games you have been whatching but there is no real evidence that they do

No, as bad as umpiring can be, I dont believe it is because they want to 'throw' a game.  Umpires may think they are so powerful, but they cant control every player on the ground!!

Although the dodgy bounce in the Pies/Kangas game does make you wonder why the umpire didnt recall the ball (im still in a rage about this).

No, the mistakes are because they are human, some look like they are on purpose, but they can't see every thing, even though there are 3 of them, who am kidding, they are just little idiots.
