  1. Yes.  But if it is convenient, why not?  If you are afraid of people not being self-sufficient, then you are not as sharp as you want to think.

Like criminals will find ways to capitalize on loopholes, mankind will find ways to adapt - just probably in ways we have not considered.

Corporations are just the latest in a series of crutches people have relied on for ages - family, friends, colleagues, governments, etc.  Even communes rely on others to do things for you.  The intent is that it allows maximizing each person's special skills for the community, by reducing distractions.

So be different if you wish, but by doing so and talking about it, you are also contributing to the dependency - in this case, dependency on your experiences/knowledge and the internet as a source.

    Good luck!

  2. Too much so. everyone should at least learn the basics of survival in their life just in case world war 3 comes around. too many people in America can't hunt, fish, build a shelter, find wild food, or even walk more than 5 miles a day. if the corporations in this country were to collapse, it would be the grocery store scene in stephen kings book and movie, "The Mist". if you have seen it, you will know what I am talking about.

  3. maybe so.. but they sure as h**l dont need to depend on the government to furnish everything.. It seems to me they expect more and more from the goverment .. instead of being responsible for them selves... what ever happened to being responsible for ones self..>>???
