  1. yes but not as common

  2. Possibly? If so, it probably wasn't as common.

In the past obesity used to be a sign of wealth; Being fat was probably a status symbol, so it wasn't a negative thing like it is today. Anyways, most people probably couldn't afford to be fat to worry about eating disorders in the first place. Back in the days, people had to work hard to eat, and it was probably just enough to keep them feed.

And in the past models weren't so skinny. Look a people like marylin monroe; a hour glass figure used to be very desirable. I think 'Skinny" became in during the 1960s with Twiggy the supermodel. From then on 'Thin' became in.

    It weird how things changed...

  3. yes, if u see someone look stick skinny they had the disease.

  4. yea i guess but then i guess people wouldnt want to and i doubt they had a scientific name

  5. They say that the Romans use to love to eat so much they would eat and then go purge themselves and come back to eat again.  The Romans were known for their sewer systems and domination of the known world.  Were there shrinks to tell them about eating disorders..I think not.
