Have Chad Jackson and Matt Cassel actually gotten WORSE?

Question

Cassel isn't even talented enough to be the emergency QB. And Jackson is even more disappointing since we've seen flashes of his talent in the past, but he was a mess last night.

If young players can't improve under the Pats coaching staff, I'm thinking it has to be the player's fault. What do you think?

Yeah Cassell needs to go! I don't trust him. Remember last season when the Pats had that big lead on Miami. They put Cassel in and he throws a pick straight to Jason Taylor who takes it in for a TD.

Jackson I haven't really seen much of, forgot he was on the team. But like the players before him Bethel Johnson and Sams. They are just used for emergency downs.

Working in Tom Brady's shadow must be pretty darn difficult.  The players only have a certain level of ability and it is up to the coaches to get every bit of it out of them.  I don't blame the players.  If they don't have the talent they don't have it.   Maybe the Pats should look at Pennington as a backup because if Brady goes down for the season it could be a long year.

Cassel in my opinion just isn't talented enough to play in the NFL and Jackson well I just wanna know what happened. But lucky for us Brady will carry us through. And since Brady improved to be the best in the NFL under this staff then your right it is the players fault and not the coaching staff.

Either that or the lack of tapes is hurting all the players. Cheating can make people look better. I know people say oh look how far Brady came, yet we know the entire time Belichick was there he was taping the other teams illegally. Anyway it isn't the players fault. Like one of the others said, if the talent isn't there then it isn't there. It is either the COACH or the lack of ability. Well if they don't have the ability then they can't improve. So either it is poor coaching, or the team needs to find better players.
