Now kids are at internet cafe`s or at home in front of a computer. I Don`t want when i have kids to be in front of a computer all the time. I want them to live their life and the best years are at that age that every little thing amazes you.Tell me what you think.

  1. Hi

I have same thinking as you, i enjoy those days with no internet and computer

    life are very different

but we have no choice, the world has changed into e world, even yuo want to live in te past , you may not have friends who want to do the same

So many pp are so to themself now. See the PSP comes in, every one almost every one holds a PSP in the train, pp tend to become more self centred

  2. Yes i agree with you, well when i was a kid, im 25 now, we did not have a computer in the house, we did not have a games console etc and we werent allowed to have the tv on for long periods of time, we used to have more fun playing outside and making up games etc. Its like mobile phones, they have down sides to them aswell....do any people write letters anymore?? i miss them lol

  3. Yes, computer and internet have changed my life, but I dont think it is for the worse.

First, what you are talking about is NOT the fault of the computer or the internet.  It is the fault of the parents who use these tools as a babysitter, instead of tools.

So, lets not put the blame for kids not getting out and playing on the computers.  Computers are NOT bad, they are just misused by a lot of parents.

There are tons of educational programs and games that when allowed in moderation can be an awesome tool.  It can help kids learn to talk, read, write, do math, all sorts of stuff.  And as far as game consoles, Nintendo's Wii has lots of games that are specifically designed to promote movement and exercise.

And, yes, I spend a great deal of time on my computer, but I do the same things you do.  I read my novel (on the computer in e format), I watch the news (on live streaming video instead of the tv, or my local newspaper sight instead of the actual paper), I check the weather, I read my trade magazines, I learn how to do new things, I learn how to use new programs, I learn new ideas for my crafts....   The computer is the most awesome tool you could ever have....  As long as it is used properly, and not abused in ways such as being used as a baby sitter.

  4. i agree with you here. i grew up outside. no video games or computer. just dirt and friends.

I think if you want the same with your kids you have to put a limit on computer, games and tv's. only allow 1 hour a day or something to do this.
