Have DSL, two phones, one line, one rings, one doesn't,?

Question

I got DSL, then my phone quit ringing. I know the phone works fine, and I have another phone that does ring when a call is incoming. There are DSL Filters on both phones. DSL works. Can send and receive calls fine. I have a dial tone on both phones. I would be fine with just one phone, but the ringer is too quiet to hear throughout the house.

There are two contacts missing from each DSL filter, which I am nearly sure is the problem, could anyone tell me if I'm right, or if I'm barking up the wrong tree?

it has to be the dsl filters!

check you're ringer on the quiet phone.  that's probably it.

Try swapping the phones and see if the same one rings. If so, you have a phone with a bad ringer. As far as the contacts on the DSL filter you are barking up the wrong tree. Update the question after you try swapping.

It sounds like have have isolated your problem.
