Have Democrats allowed the brilliance of McCain's pick sink in yet?

If not....let's go down the list.

1. Having a woman on the ticket for McCain is a never-ending reminder for Hillary supporters that Clinton got shafted. Hillary voters may still not vote for McCain but a lot more of them could stay home.

2. Obama's entire message of 'Change' falls flat b/c he picked a career Senator who embodies 'politics as usual' just as much as McCain....meanwhile, you've got a gun-toting, snowmobiling, basketball playing, moose-burger eating Gov from ALASKA who by all accounts doesn't take bunk from anybody and clearly doesn't represent the status quo of Washington politics stealing the spotlight every time she opens her mouth.

3. Obama can't go after her for lack of experience b/c anything he says about that will bounce right off her and land squarely in his own face.

4. Obama also can't use his 'attack dog' to go after b/c Biden could easily come across as an arrogant jerk male and tick off every woman in the country if he berates her.

5. She can relate to so many different people that Obama can't seal the deal on......e.g. independents, soccer moms, evangelicals, etc.

6. Lastly, it says a lot of McCain himself....that when it really matters, he can make a great strategic play. In simple terms, he really outsmarted the arugula-eating, Harvard grad Obama.....

How are you going to deal w/ this libs? I'd take a couple of days off and think about it.

  1. ...and all politics aside, she really is a terriffic, amazing woman.

  2. You know, this is one of the most thought out and well presented questions I have ever seen on Y!A.

McCain was brilliant in picking her and going public the morning after Obama's acceptance speech. I was dreading all the gushing I was gonna have to listen to on Friday because of Barry's speech. Instead, McCain blew him out of the water. Left the young man high and dry.

*It looks like someone is really jealous that Palin was picked.

  3. Obama supporters have just been nuked harsh

  4. McCain talk about Obama's experience and then all of a sudden picks Palin and is she really ready to be president if it  comes down to it since he's like what 71-72 Clinton and Palin are nothing alike so i think McCain picked the wrong candidate...

  5. 1. I am a Clinton supporter, and this woman (Palin) does not make me think that Clinton was shafted, nor does she make me want to vote for McCain.

    2. Obama picked someone to fill in the gaps. Quite frankly, I don't want a "gun-toting, snowmobiling, basketball playing, moose-burger eating Gov from ALASKA" to be President of this country if McCain dies.

    3. She was a councilwoman and mayor of Poedunk, AK, pop. 6,000. Yes, I will gladly throw world affairs into her hands.

    4. No...

    5. She can't relate to me. I am a Christian and Independent voter, sorry, but you're wrong.

    6. This is not a strategic play. Palin is no comparison to Clinton.

I think it's absurd... I was a Clinton supporter and I watched her (Palin) snooze fest of a nomination speech and she talks about the 18 million Clinton supporters now having a choice... Yeah, whatever. Clinton is a very well educated, articulate woman who has been in and around public service for 30+ years. Palin has been busy making babies and sitting on the town council for Poedunk, AK. She in no way is a replacement for Sen. Clinton.

  6. Wait till November! Hillary will be laughing at Obama's lost!

  7. "She's not prepared to be governor. How can she be prepared to be vice president or president? Look at what she's done to this state. What would she do to the nation?"

Sen. Lyda Green, president of the state Senate and a Republican from Palin's hometown of Wasilla.

    *******

We're going to go forward and watch the media devour Palin.  She has so much liability such as having been caught lying about the "Bridge to no where" to admissions of being unqualified to be VP...

.the press will reflect just what an amazingly bad choice this was and drive the polls in favor of Obama.

  8. Great points and well said!  Thanks for taking the time.

I don't know about the Obama supporters, I think you would have to except the variable that they actually think.

However, I do think it solidifies the republicans!
