Have I just experienced a paranormal experience with a ghost?

I just had this weird sensation while I was asleep (like 10 min ago).

It was so weird, I felt like something was crawling into me. It crawled from my feet to all the to the tip of my brain. I was pretty sure it dominated my entire body. My lips turned cold, and I felt like I was completely frozen. All of a sudden, I was shaking, up and down, really fast. I was trying to scream for my mom, but my tone was gone, and I could only hear myself whispering instead. I was sure that I was going to die, I even told myself "So this is how it feels like when you die?".

It was so weird, I felt like I was in a train going really fast but not reaching anywhere… I'm sorry, it's so hard to explain.

Anyways, as soon as the sensation was gone, I made a connection about this Mexican guy who told me that in Mexico its so hunted that its quite normal to have this kind of experience with a "ghost". He experienced couple times in Mexico, and now that I recall, the way he described his experience is the same way as I just had. I really don’t believe in ghosts, or other spiritual mythology (including God), but this experience felt very real to me. I wasn’t much scared, but more shocked, shocked by the fact that now I’m convinced ghosts are real. If ghosts exist, then God exists. I’m still denying the fact that maybe it was just a dream. But to be honest, I can’t remember what I was dreaming. If I close my eye and try to recall what I was dreaming, I keep picturing myself in this very dark room, only a bed stands out and I on it, then I see myself shaking. It may sound like a dream, but it didn’t feel like it.

I’m looking for a biological/psychological reason behind all this? I can assure you it was real alright. I will admit, I did sleep with 3 pillows tonight, which is very unusual for me because usually I don’t sleep with any at all. Pillows makes me uncomfortable, and this time I was like half uncomfortable, and half comfy.

  1. Cool story Mitchel. Thank you for sharing. It could be alot of things, but I think you (and I) already have a good idea as to what it is. In your gut, you know.

  2. Sorry to say,it sounds like classic sleep paralysis. But nevertheless, spirits are real I have seen and heard them under a lot of different circumstances ,including shared experiences with others.Yes, if spirits exist, then God exists, but not necessarily the Biblical God. I see God as more of an innate intelligence which is in all matter and also beyond physical matter. God,IMHO ,is the energy which is all matter. At the moment of creation,(if there was a beginning)there were only 2 raw materials to work with,GOd and nothing.THe universe is a system of binary code.Everything is some combination of 1's (God) and 0's (nothing)......Sermon over.....

  3. It sounds more like a waking dream to me.  Now should you have these experiences while you are fully awake and out of bed, I might be more apt to think that there could be something paranormal appening.

Honestly, it sounds like you might be dwelling on what your friend may have told you a bit much.  Even if it is not a consious effort on yout part to think about it, it appears to have had a profound effect on you.

Ghost and spirits are real, but the vast majority are not able to cause you any physical harm.  But be mindful of the old funny song that actually has a bit of truth to it.  " The dead can't hurt you, cause they have already left, but what they left could sure make you hurt yourself..." The more you open yourself to these experiences, the more the likelyhood that you will have an experience that you might not be ready for.

Just try to go to bed with the idea that nothing and no one can bother you while you sleep.

  4. Sounds like REM to me. Feeling of being paralysed, wanting to wake up and shout and being unable to.

  5. probrably just heat stroke with a bit of imagination or you were dreaming without knowing.

  6. either a ghost or probably an OBE. Either way ur lucky!

  7. you now, it sounds like you had an out of body or astral experience.  this is when the spirit leaves the body for a little 'road trip'.  i think your spirit was coming back into your body and had a harder landing than usual.  that is what i think happened.  you can google out of body experiences.

  8. You have nothing to worry about, avoid the Mexican and lay off the three pillows.

  9. ok well to be technical there is lobe in the brain that controls things like this when people die and the brain shuts down a near death experience is just your brain shutting down but what happened to you could be a random nerve malfunction see i sleep on the wrong side all the time and i get real numb in parts of my body the weirdest stuff ever but its a nerve malfunction
